Interchangable MAP Sensors??

Hi guys,

ANy of you guys know if I can take a 92-95 Civic Map sensor and plug it in to my 94 GSR? I am trying to troublshoot a code 3 I encountered yesterday. I cleaned out the map and the missing link...also reset the ecu..no luck. Dealer wants $262 for a new one! My friend has a 92-95 Civic one laying around...wondering if it'll fit. Thanks!

I don't know for sure, but why would Honda change the harness plug?

Internally they're all the same, so as long as the harness clicks in you should be good to go.

When I took a look at a 99 Prelude, the sensor voltages (the ones I checked, MAP not included, sorry!) had the same ranges as my 96 GSR.

I'd bet a nickel your plan will work.

Thanks guys...it prolly would have worked, but the problem goes beyond the map sensor. After replacing it, I still had the light. Time to pull out the multimeter....
